Elämä tuntuu paikoin aika paskalta, mutta parhaalla biisillä saa kelkkaa käännettyä edes vähäsen. Tällä hetkellä se on Lo-Fi-Fnk:in Want U Kitsunén viimevuotiselta kokoelmalta. Ruotsalaiskaksikolta löytyy useampi muukin erinomainen biisi.

Tammerfest-viikonloppu: Indiaaniklubi
Orastava dj-harrastukseni on päässyt taas ilahduttamaan kanssatamperelaisia. Kesäksi kahvila Valoon ja ravintola Laternaan järkkäilemämme Indiaaniklubi korkkailtiin harjoituksenomaisesti siis jo pari viikkoa sitten ja Tammerfestien ajan soittelemme kolmen illan ajan lempparimusiikkia 'fest-etkoiluna ja -lämmittelynä.

Alkukesäretrospektiivi
Kuten aina blogien kanssa kohdallani tuppaa käymään, koittaa alkuinnostuksen jälkeen sisällöllinen taantuma ja postaustiheys romahtaa - niin näköjään tälläkin kertaa. Pieni kertaus olkoon paikallaan.
Parin kuukauden sisään olen käynyt aika laiskasti keikoilla - ainoat tähän hätään mieleen tulevat klubikeikat ovat Digitaalimiesten kohtaaminen Doriksessa taannoin toukokuussa ja Jenny Wilson Klubilla suunnilleen samoihin aikoihin - upeita esityksiä molemmat. Livekokemuksia sain kuitenkin kartutettua, kun minut onnistuttiin houkuttelemaan viiden vuoden tauon jälkeen Provinssirockiin. Vaikka isojen yleisfestareiden artistikattaukset eivät minua aina oikein puhuttelekaan, löytyi Provinssista possellemme helposti kiireinen aikataulu lauantain ja sunnuntain ajaksi. Hyviä muistoja kertyi erityisesti the Crashista (viimeinen näkemäni keikka sitten ikinä, nyyh), Le Corpse Mince de Françoisesta, the Ting Tingsistä, Egotripistä ja yllätyksekseni myös Vesa-Matti Loirista. Muutama aika täydellinen hetki tuli taas koettua.
Olen jatkanut dj-kokeilujani kahteen otteeseen, ensin toukokuussa TAF-etkoilla kahvila Valossa ja eilen organisoimamme Indiaaniklubin yhteydessä samassa lokaatiossa. Kiireinen valmistuminen eiliseen tosin tarkoitti sitä, että soittolistoissakin oli lievää samankaltaisuutta, mutta joka tapauksessa molemmat soittokerrat ovat sujuneet vallan leppoisasti.
